About us

Pro-Action Network in Education and Skill Training (PANEST) is a registered non-governmental organisation which seeks to enhance the development of the youth and communities in general.

To do so, we work as a link between young people, schools, clubs, communities, etc (most of whom are deprived or under-resourced) on one hand and resource providers such as project sponsors, donors, partners, volunteers, etc on the other. PANEST exists mainly to provide varied development opportunities for the youth of various abilities and to give them a sound foundation that will lead to success in their future.

The key to success for Africa’s needs is, undoubtedly education and manpower skills. As such, we aim at helping to develop education and skills for the youth.

Objectives

The organisation’s objects are:

	To promote the education and development of young people at all levels through either direct projects or support for schools and clubs.
	To advance the education of children in schools in the network, by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the schools.
	To promote sports development for the youth through projects that create the environment and facilities for varieties of sports, especially football and athletics, with community participation for healthy recreation.
	To provide related resources such as accommodation, feeding, transport and welfare facilities and services for beneficiary individuals, schools, clubs and communities, for the purposes of enhancing educational, sports and youth development services.
	To train the youth in employable skills and relief of unemployment in such ways as may be thought fit, including jobseeking assistance.
	To build into the youth socially acceptable attitudes and discipline through well structured education and development programmes and environment.
	To provide affordable basic and secondary education which aim at success for further (tertiary) education.
	To provide skills to the youth that will make them employable after their course of study.
	To unearth, develop and promote the athletic talents or interest of the youth in sports as an alternative route to success in their future through sports training programmes.
	To provide a formal developmental environment for the youthful sports enthusiasts who have no interest in or the intellectual ability to cope in academic education.
	To unearth, develop and promote the talents and interest of the youth in music as a career or hobby.
	To provide employment and career avenues for the people as a means of earning a living.

Activities – What we do

	Identifying gaps and problem areas in the youth development sector.
	Setting up projects and innitiatives such as schools and clubs to bridge identified gaps in youth development.
	Managing the efficient and effective utilisation of the limited human, financial and logistical resources available for the achievement of set goals.
	Supporting youth development oriented bodies such as school and clubs to be able to achieve related goals.
	Supporting children and the youth to undergo education and skill training such as sports, music, and ICT.
	Working with other organisations with goals which are within our scope, as partners to undertake education- and/or youth development-oriented projects.
	Resourcing projects, both financially and logistically with contributions from internally generated revenue, trustees, other charitable organisations, corporate bodies and individuals.
