Bursaries and scholarship schemes have been powerful tools in helping people who have the need and wish to be educated or trained but restricted by their lack of the financial ability, in doing so. Therefore all PANEST schools have been offering this support to children over the years, inspite of the schools’ own revenue limitations.
The only reason for braving the storm to extend bursaries and scholarships to some students, especially bereaved, brilliant but needy and sports students, is to enable them to achieve fruitful future for themselves, their families and communities in general.
The recent initiatives such as the sports academy and music school has made this issue even more pressing than before.
As such, the Board has finally launched a Scholarship Fund to look outside the organisation and solicit support in various forms that would directly go into supporting the many needy young ones in their education or training and therefore assist in achieving our goals and for the benefit of humanity at large.
Operation of the Scholarship Fund
For the best of reasons, the fund is managed by a select committee from the Board. Students who need support from the Fund apply by filling a form. The respective Headmaster or Head of Department investigates the student’s background checks the application and attach his or her report which is submitted to the committee. The committee at their regular meetings, analyse all applications and determine the deserving amounts of support, (considering the magnitude of available funds) and the awarded amounts are credited to the student accounts of the applicants.
